Versus tournaments

Liero
Liero is a simple game. Pick your five weapons and unleash your inner fury. It is always played one versus one on a map of your choice, and yes, you have to play with someone right next to you, unless you are enjoying the online multiplayer version.
Shooting is easy enough to figure out, but to step up your game you need to learn how to swing yourself to safety with the ninja rope, use timed weapons for area denial, hunt without being hunted, ambush, hit and run, and control that darned guided missile.
Puyo Puyo 7 (Wii)
Have you ever dreamed of becoming friends with homogeneous blobs of jelly? If so, Puyo Puyo is the game for you. Come have a friendly contest alongside your best friend (or rival) to best others in a battle of the blobs, big or small.
Fighting game tournament
Just a normal fighting game tournament. The game was still being decided.
Factorio PvP
Factorio is a game about building a factory. You won't be mining by hand for long, with the industrial revolution just a science lab away. Defend your factory from the local inhabitants, mine ores, refine oil, and burn forests to the ground, all in the name of progress.
Forget all that: this is PvP. You spawn somewhere on Nauvis and have to fight the other players to the death. The factory must grow.
Sakura Taisen Columns 2 (Dreamcast)
Columns is a tile-matching puzzle game created in the wake of Tetris in 1989. You form lines of at least three blocks of the same colour using falling, vertical three-block pieces. Instead of rotating the piece, you rotate the order of the blocks.
This tournament celebrates the 30th anniversary of Sakura Taisen and is played on Sakura Taisen Columns 2 (Hanagumi Taisen Columns 2), released for Dreamcast in 2000. The characters' unique abilities affect the gameplay, and the two-player versus mode is used here.
ChuChu Rocket! (Dreamcast)
ChuChu Rocket! is a 1999 action puzzle game by Sonic Team for the Dreamcast. You place arrows on a board to lead mice into escape rockets while avoiding cats. The multiplayer mode has players battle to collect the most mice.
Soggy Arena
Soggy Arena is a fast-paced, high-mobility first-person arena shooter that feels like Quake and Titanfall blending together in a crunchy, low-poly fever dream. Chain together wall running, grappling hook swings and a large arsenal of experimental weapons to crack open your Egghead enemies.
The game is a work-in-progress prototype, so this was an exclusive chance to take part in the first ever Soggy Arena tournament. Find it on itch.io.
